55m Wallypower
The 55m WallyPower developed by WallyDesign© department, is a mega yacht characterised by the displacement hull that derives from the navy hydrodynamic technology.
The hull shape is the result of an extensive R & D programme that included tank testing and CFD computer design, and is characterised by high efficiency and reduced pitching than traditional hulls. The exceptionally high free board enhances safety in rough seas, without contaminating the sleek lines of the yacht.
The glass superstructure and the very large portholes (each guest cabins features four portholes 2,5 m – 8’2” wide and 0,5 m – 1’ 8” high) flood the interiors with natural light while providing 360 degree view from the upper decks and enhanced visibility from the lower decks.
This WallyDesign© project features much larger interior volumes and open air areas than any other mega yacht of the same size.
The five decks are cleverly designed to respect the privacy of the owner and guests: a unique feature of the 55m WallyPower is the complete separation of the crew’s flow that follows independent passages and ways.
The lower deck is dedicated to crew accommodation (8 doubles + captain cabin) and service.
The cabin deck features the guest accommodation (4 double cabins all with en-suites), the main saloon, and the hangars for tenders and water toys.
The main deck features the 60 m2 (646 ft2) owner’s suite forward opening onto the private deck area with cockpit and tables, and the lounge and dining area opening onto the deck veranda aft. The bridge deck includes the wheel house, the spa with gym, and the aft and forward terraces.
The upper sun deck is completely devoted to open air living with a Jacuzzi, a sun bathing area, and a dining table.
The 55m WallyPower introduces new open air living areas on each deck, especially forward the superstructure that it is much more ventilated and cooler than aft, where all the other mega yachts of this size usually concentrate the social activity.
The full beam main salon is 80 m2 (861 ft2) large and is designed following the Wally inside-outside living concept: it gives direct access to the aft deck terrace that is fully equipped with facilities for day use such as sauna, showers, dressing-rooms.
The cruising speed of this mega yacht is 17 knots, and is steadily kept also in rough seas thanks to the hull design developed by Wally.
The advanced antirolling system VT Naiad Marine Stabilization at Anchor (S@A™) combined with the DATUM control system, stabilises the 55m WallyPower both under way and at anchor.

In New Zealand we either pay a membership (which
entitles you to as much golf as you like at your home club with no compulsory additional
costs - competitions do have a small extra charge) or green fees.
When you have your hybrid clubs, you can operate at enhancing your game.
The way that the tour players make it look so easy on television is remarkable.
