ACE 85mt Lürssen Yachts
Launched in Germany in January and shown out on her sea trials in mid-March is Lürssen’s latest superyacht, the beguilling Ace. The swooping curves of the 85-metre yacht, known as Project Rocky during her build, are the work of Andrew Winch: the characterful side arches mark Ace out as one of the most distinctive yachts of recent years. The oversized oval upper-deck balcony is another eye-catching feature, along with the cream-coloured hull and contrasting white superstructure, with large black windows that add a further distinctive note.
Aerial shots show an intriguing observation deck with its own hot-tub above the sundeck. Little is known about the Andrew Winch-designed interior but she accommodates 12 guests. Twin MTU 16V 4000s add the power. Delivery of this yacht is scheduled for late spring. The construction of Ace was supervised by the team at Moran Yacht & Ship and the first of six projects that Lürssen plans to launch this year.
